Three bits of news to report today.... First, if you'd like to be notified when the "Official Site" goes up, head on over to https://www.bloodbowl-game.com and give them your email address. They are still claiming that it will be up by the end of March, which gives them all of two business days left to make good on that promise. Second, Focus Home Interactive has hired a community manager for Blood Bowl. Anyone who's spent any time on the Cyanide forums knows that Focus has (rightfully so) taken a lot of heat about their lack of promotion of the game so far. Enter Jessica, the new liasson between the community and Focus. Finally, Gamespot posted an article from the 2009 Game Developers Conference about their hands on playtest. Some highlights from the article: Focus Home Interactive has also confirmed that additional teams--including undead and dark elf--will be made available after the game ships on PC, Xbox 360 and, possibly, PSP. On the PC, you'll be able to upload replays of your favorite matches to share with other players and, at some point after the game's release, Cyanide hopes to patch in spectator support. If you're interested in the PC version, you should also keep an eye out for an open multiplayer beta in the coming weeks, incidentally. Undead, Dark Elves, a Spectator Mode, and an open Multiplayer Beta. This is good news, indeed! However there was one disappointing thing mentioned in the article if you're an Xbox 360 user. Blood Bowl is currently scheduled for release sometime in June, except for the Xbox 360 version which will follow around September.
